Position Overview:
The Arc is seeking a full-time Staff Development Specialist (Trainer). Reporting to the Staff Development & Training Manager, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate new hire orientation training. This 4-day orientation will include facilitation of initial in-person trainings: Safety training, Incident Reporting and Abuse and Neglect, and Arc Values and Diversity training. The orientation process will also include preparing new hires for the online trainings they will be required to complete. You will ensure new hires have all the tools needed to prepare them for their next step in their new role.
You are required to work flexible weekend hours, run weekend rotation orientation, organized (record keeping, meeting deadlines) and tech-savvy (LMS, uploads, updates, etc). You will follow behind new staff to ensure they complete the new hire training requirements while updating their direct supervisors. You will also assist in facilitating additional agency trainings as needed and will obtain and maintain the training instructor requirements for, but not limited to CPR and First Aid Instructor certification and Mandt Systems Instructor training. Some weekends and evenings required.
